County-by-County Snow Break Down

That National Weather Service office in Huntsville has compiled a list of the snow reports they have received and organized them by counties in this public information statement.

A MAJOR WINTER STORM BROUGHT HEAVY SNOW TO MUCH OF NORTH ALABAMA AND 
SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY
MORNING. A LARGE AREA OF 3 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW FELL ACROSS THE 
REGION. BELOW ARE 24-HOUR SNOWFALL REPORTS (BOTH OFFICIAL AND 
UNOFFICIAL)...MANY THAT CAME IN BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 6 AM CST THURSDAY.
MUCH OF THE ACCUMULATING SNOW OCCURRED IN JUST A 6-12 HOUR WINDOW...
LATE WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
