Grab the heavier coat this morning, temperatures are much cooler compared to this time yesterday! In some cases, by over 20°! Temperatures are in the teens for some especially across southern middle Tennessee. Grab the ice scraper and give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes to get in this morning. Here are your current temperatures. They are likely to drop a few more degrees heading toward sunrise just before 7am.

There is a chance of a few more flurries tonight into Friday. This won’t be a big deal. Just like last time, some of us will get some, others won’t. DeKalb County was the beneficiary of a dusting especially on Lookout Mountain. Places like Ider, Henagar, Fischer Crossroads, and Mentone received a healthy dusting.  This time southern middle Tennessee and northeast Alabama have the best chance of a small dusting. Here is a look at your computer model showing the potential for flurries. No need to go to store bread and mild this time.

This isn’t exact, but late Thursday night into Friday flurries could fly. After that, a nice weekend is in store with seasonal temperatures. Highs Saturday in the middle 40s with lower 50s on Sunday. The warming trend stays with us for the first of next week, before a “reality check” returns!
