Saturday Afternoon: Isolated Showers Developing

It’s been an unseasonably warm and humid afternoon across the Tennessee Valley today, and now this warm steamy atmosphere is supporting a few developing showers in the Shoals area.

These pockets of rain will likely grow in number slightly through the afternoon before decreasing this evening, although the majority of the Valley will remain dry today. The best chance to be affected by a shower or storm today will continue to be west of I-65.

After a mostly dry night tonight, a much-advertised cold-front will begin bringing widespread showers to the Western Tennessee Valley around dawn Sunday morning. The rain will then spread further east through the day and into the night. We’ll have more specifics on timing here on the blog later today. For now, you can read our entire forecast discussion for the latest on the wet then cooler weather we expect for your week to come.
