We’re Not Finished with Rain Quite Yet!

It’s been a very wet end to a very wet month! The weather observing station in southern Lawrence County near the Black Warrior Work Center has 18.62″ of rain for July through 3:00 PM, and a little more is possible this evening through early Thursday morning.

This is storm total estimated precipitation from the Hytop Nexrad through 3 PM:

Another round of showers and thunderstorms will move through the Valley later this evening bringing the potential for another 0.25″ to 0.75″ in isolated heavier downpours.

The weather gets drier and hotter after this last bout of rain, see WHNT.com/Weather for the latest on the heat and the potential for more heavy thunderstorms this weekend.
