Finally Some Sunshine – Still A Rain Chance

After days of clouds and rain, we are finally seeing some sunshine and a break from the rain. There were a few passing showers overnight and earlier this morning, but as of 11:30 am, most are dry with only a few patchy showers generally east of I-65. Below is a look at the radar.

As of 11:00 am, temperatures were ranging from 83° in Muscle Shoals, to 73° in Winchester, TN.  Below is a look at the 11:00 am temperatures around the Tennessee Valley.

Expect highs today to range mostly in the low to mid 80s. There is still a chance for more scattered showers and maybe even a thunderstorm through the afternoon and early evening, but not everyone will see rain.  Though the sun is out, there are still some Flood Warnings in effect for parts of the Tennessee Valley. Check out all the Flood Warnings here: Warnings.

Rain chances will remain in the forecast through the work week, but we are not expecting anything like we saw on Independence Day, or the past several days.  High temperatures will return to near normal for July standards, around 91°.  Looking ahead to next weekend, it looks like we are going to have at least a dry Saturday!
