The Broken Record Continues….
Sunday in the Tennessee Valley will be a continuation of our typical warm and muggy summertime weather pattern. We may see a slightly better chance to see thunderstorms than on Saturday, but rain is far from a guarantee. It appears odd will be slightly higher in locations south and east of Huntsville.
We’ve said it numerous time this week, but it still bears repeating: A low rain chance does not mean zero threat for strong storms. Summertime storms can be very strong with dangerous lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds. Outdoor plans in the South during the summer should always include a place to shelter from a pop-up thunderstorm.
The extended forecast includes more opportunities for rain and possibly more widespread thunderstorms. Check it out at WHNT’s forecast page.
