The first official weekend of the summer season is here, and the weather looks about as “normal” as it can! Expect a hot, humid Saturday with a small (20%) chance of some isolated showers and storms. Remember, a low chance of rain does not mean light rain or drizzle. If you get one of those pop-up storms, you’ll definitely know it! Some of them could produce more than a tenth to a quarter-inch of rain, produce gusty winds, and bring intense lightning. That won’t happen on a widespread basis, though. See the specific chance of rain around The Valley below:
Expect highs around 90 degrees on this Saturday afternoon with a partly cloudy sky and a light south-southeast wind averaging 6 to 12 MPH in the afternoon. Days like this aren’t usually very blustery, so don’t expect big wind gusts unless you’re near one of those isolated storms.
The chance of rain is on the increase for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. See the explanation behind a bigger expectation of rain and storms early next week at WHNT.com/Weather!
