The Next 24 Hours – Sunny, Warm Saturday!

Temperatures surged to a high of 66º in Huntsville and 70º in Muscle Shoals on Friday, and it gets even warmer from there! A strong area of high pressure just east of us this weekend will do two things: keep the rain away and bring in a mild southerly breeze. Overnight lows dip into the lower 40s with a clear sky; some patchy fog is possible along the Tennessee River, the larger lakes, and some of the protected valleys early in the morning.

Expect highs in the lower and middle 70s on Saturday afternoon with a south-southeast wind at 10 to 17 miles per hour on average. A few patchy areas of clouds drift over from time to time, but more sun than clouds will make it a wonderful day compared to the chilly, damp weather we had almost all week!

Walk MS: Huntsville – It starts out cool at Huntsville Botanical Garden on Saturday morning! Temperatures rise from the 40s at 7:00 AM to near 55º by 9 AM. Registration begins at 8 AM, and the walk is at 9:30 AM. For more information, see the Walk MS:Huntsville site!

Our weather stays nice for a few days, but it could get really rough around here by the middle of next week. See the latest on the severe weather threat in our extended forecast at!
