A Wet 2013 & More Rain Ahead

Typically December is the wettest month of the year with 5.77″ in Huntsville. But January beat that by a long shot.

Here are some of the averages, totals, and surplus for Huntsville and Muscle Shoals.

  • January Average: 4.89″. Actual total: 8.59″. Surplus: 3.70″.
  • 2013 Average to date: 8.30″. Actual total: 10.58″. Surplus: 2.28″.
