Rain Ending… A Chilly Night Ahead

Posted on: 5:37 pm, February 2, 2013, by

Most of the rain is pulling away from the Tennessee Valley, and skies are actually clearing from west to east as we head into Saturday evening. Temperatures will fall into the lower 30’s tonight, and any roadways with lingering moisture on them will have a chance to re-freeze, meaning isolated slick spots will be possible by tomorrow morning. Widespread travel hazards are not likely, but check the road conditions before you head out the door if you have early morning travel plans.

Another fast moving wave of energy will move across the region tomorrow, possibly giving a few some additional cloud cover and snow flurries, otherwise Sunday looks to be a partly sunny but chilly and breezy day with highs ranging from the mid-40’s in our northeastern sections to the lower 50’s further southwest.
