I would have to say it’s a pretty decent start to the weekend, with clouds starting to thin and some decent sunshine peeking through. Expect a partly to mostly sunny sky for the rest of today, with temperatures warming into the low to mid 50s by this afternoon, with a light northeasterly breeze.
Tonight will be similar to last night with a partly to mostly cloudy sky and temperatures cooling into the low to mid 30s. The wind overnight, will switch around to the east and become southeast by Sunday, as surface high pressure slides east of the Tennessee Valley. The southerly wind along with the ridge of high pressure building in from the west, will aid in warming temperatures around five to ten degrees above average for late January. Highs Sunday afternoon will be in the mid to upper 50s. A stray shower or two will be possible Sunday, but the majority will remain dry.
