The Next 24 Hours – Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Welcoming a New Year in the Tennessee Valley means dealing with some beneficial rain this time around! It’s not a bad thing considering how much rain we missed in 2012! Tuesday will be a cool, damp day with a good soaking rain. Some spots around the Tennessee Valley could see as much as two inches of rain through Tuesday afternoon. Here is the Futurecast forecast precipitation amounts through 3 PM on New Year’s Day:

Temperatures will hover in the upper 40s and lower 50s all day thanks to the rainy, cloudy weather, but as the clouds and showers exit late Tuesday night, a widespread freeze is likely by Wednesday morning.
