New Year’s Rain
It will be a soggy and cool countdown to midnight for many in the Tennessee Valley tomorrow night due to showers that will be overspreading the area late Monday evening through early Tuesday morning. Western areas will see the best chance to have rain when the clocks strikes 12:00, with better odds of staying dry further east. Rain may not be all that heavy initially, so even if rain does occur during outdoor events tomorrow night, that doesn’t necessarily mean a complete washout.
If you’re looking to escape the rain, you’re best bet will be traveling south. These areas will likely not see rain until early Tuesday morning.
The rain will continue through much of New Year’s Day and another healthy dose of significant rainfall is likely before the rain comes to an end Tuesday night.
