Friday Morning Update: Freezing Fog & Mist Possible
Moisture is continuing to overspread the Tennessee Valley this morning, causing some areas of fog and mist to form. This could be a little problematic for the early morning commute as temperatures in many locations have fallen below freezing. Watch for slick spots, especially on the bridges and overpasses and especially in the higher terrain of our eastern counties.
Rain will continue to spread northeast to the Valley through Friday, beginning as light and sporadic showers initially, but becoming heavier through the afternoon and evening before exiting after midnight. Cold air will follow the rain early Saturday morning, turning any lingering precipitation over to snow. No significant accumulations are expected.
