The Next 24 Hours – Cold for Friday!

Posted on: 8:35 pm, December 20, 2012, by

Friday is the first official day of Winter, and it will definitely feel like it! The Winter Solstice occurs at 5:11 AM.

The wind will settle a little on Friday, but expect a breezy day anyway! Look for a strong, gusty northwest wind around 15 to 25 MPH with gusts approaching 35 MPH on Friday. Since temperatures will just barely get into the mid-40s, that wind is going to feel cold all day long in spite of a sunny sky.

We expect dry weather for Friday and Saturday, but rain becomes likely again by Sunday and Christmas Eve. You can see the forecast discussion including Christmas and the interesting weather afterward here: WHNT.com/Weather!
