The Next 24 Hours – Halloween 2012!
It’s Trick-or-Treat time in the Tennessee Valley, and this year the weather will be cooperative! There is no rain, snow, or sleet in the forecast, but it is going to be cold early in the morning and chilly again in the evening. Temperatures will be as cold as 30-35º F in the early morning hours with some scattered frost, but it will turn out to be a relatively nice day! Expect a high around 58-63º F by mid-afternoon with a gusty northwest wind ranging from 10 to 20 MPH with some occasional higher gusts.
In the evening hours, expect a clear sky with a quick temperature drop. By the time most trunk-or-treats and city festivals begin around 5-6 PM, we will be feeling rather chilly. The good news here is that the wind will die down some in the evening, so it won’t feel any colder than it really is!
Hopefully we won’t have any meteor strikes on Halloween to steal the show from the kids! If you missed it, there’s a wrap-up on Tuesday’s unusual day here on Valleywx.com!
