The Next 24 Hours – Thursday

Posted on: 9:17 pm, October 24, 2012, by

Fine weather continues for Thursday! It’s going to be a cool start to the morning, but the afternoon will be nice and warm with highs around 78 to 82 degrees. The breeze will pick up from the southeast by midday around 6 to 12 MPH, and the sky will stay sunny all day with only a few patchy areas of high-level cirrus drifting overhead.

A strong cold front moving across the Plains toward the Mississippi River Thursday will be the beginning of some major weather changes for the Tennessee Valley in coming days.

Surface Map Forecast for 7 PM Friday

This front will slide on into the Tennessee Valley Friday with an increase in clouds and a chance for at least a little rain for a few high school football games. Click over to WHNT.com/Weather for the latest long-term forecast discussion!
