Before The Storm: Wednesday At 6:30 p.m.

WHNT News 19 will bring you a Taking Action weather special this week.  Join us Wednesday, October 24 for “Before The Storm” at 6:30 p.m.

The weather special will air in place of our 6:30 news that evening.  We’ll have several special reports looking at past severe weather events, and look to the future for the upcoming fall severe weather season.

Topics include how tornado warnings are issued, and how local EMA offices are always working ahead to be prepared for the next storm.  We’ll also explore the concept of north Alabama being a ‘Tornado Alley’.

You’ll also learn about the technology behind ARMOR & our new storm tracking vehicle, Storm Hunter 19.
