Dense Fog Advisory Until 10:00 AM
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the entire Tennessee Valley until 10:00 am this morning, due to widespread fog and dense fog in many locations. Visibility has been reduced to less than 1/4 mile in some areas. Make sure to use your low beams, slower speed and leave more room between you and the car in front of you. Below is a look at the visibility across the valley as of 8:00 am.
Morning lows this morning ranged between 15-20 degrees below average for early to mid October. All locations in southern middle Tennessee cooled into the mid to upper 30s, along with many areas in northern Alabama as well. Frost Advisories were issued for portions of southern middle Tennessee, with a some reports of frost! A few spots were warmer and in the mid 40s, especially in extreme northeastern Alabama, where clouds stayed around throughout the night. Despite the chilly start, temperatures are warming nicely, thanks in part to a mostly sunny sky!
Later on this afternoon a warming trend starts, with highs in the mid to upper 60s and low 70s! Enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather!
