According to climatological records dating back to 1981, what is the highest monthly precipitation total that has occurred in the month of October in Huntsville?

A. 7.24″

B. 9.54″

C. 12.06″

D. 15.40″

The answer is C. 12.06″ which occurred in October of 1975. As of yesterday, the month-to-date rainfall total was 0.90″, which is already above normal and that’s not even including the rain that is falling this morning!  Below is a look at our Downtown Huntsville camera, a part of our Jack’s Camera Network and you can see the big drops on the lense.  It’s wet out there this morning, but clearing will occur later today!
