Tornado Watch Cancelled for Jackson & DeKalb
The National Weather Service has cleared Jackson and DeKalb Counties as well as Franklin County, Tennessee from the Tornado Watch. There are no additional severe storms in area, but there are some heavy downpours over Sand Mountain near the Jackson/DeKalb County line. They’re moving northeast at about 40 MPH.
A cold front moving through the Tennessee Valley this evening will clear out all the storms overnight, but some light rain, drizzle and a cloudy sky will persist through much of Tuesday. The full forecast is available at WHNT.com Weather!
Here are some of the viewer photos of the cloud formations today; there were several rotating storms that did produce wall clouds and low-hanging scud. No storm damage occurred in this area today!
