Severe Thundestorm Warning For Eastern Jackson County

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for eastern Jackson County until 6:45 pm. The storm is moving northeast at 25 mph.  Heavy rain is expected with this storm and possibly wind gusts of 60 mph. The severe storm is highlighted below with the yellow box, with some other heavy storms in northeast Alabama and north into southern middle Tennessee. A Tornado Watch remains in effect for DeKalb and Jackson counties in Alabama and Franklin County in southern middle Tennessee until 8:00 pm this evening.
