Showers finally faded away on Friday evening, and although we do feature a 20% chance of rain on Saturday, don’t change your plans just yet. There are a lot of things from youth league football to the Courtland Air Show happening on Saturday, and we have mostly good news here! Expect a partly to mostly cloudy sky throughout the day; that will keep temperatures a little lower. Friday afternoon’s highs ranged from 82º in Crossville (AL) and Valley Head to 87º in Huntsville, Decatur and Muscle Shoals. Saturday won’t be as warm, but it’s still going to get up near 80º by mid-afternoon (especially if you see some sunshine).

For college football games around the region, here’s what you can expect!

Tennessee @ Georgia: Saturday at 2:30 PM CDT
The Vols travel to Athens, Georgia for a 3:30 Eastern kick. Temperatures will be warm throughout the game as it should hover right around 80 degrees for most of the game. There will be some sun between clouds, and there is only a small (30%) chance of some light showers.

Ole Miss @ Alabama: Saturday at 8:15 PM CDT
A few scattered showers and isolated storms are possible during the pregame activities in Tuscaloosa on Saturday. By kick off Saturday night, the chance of a shower will be dropping from about 50% to 10% by the fourth quarter. Temperatures will drop from the mid-70s at game time to the upper 60s at the final whistle.

Grambling at Alabama A&M: Saturday at 6:00 PM CDT
The Louis Crews Classic on Saturday evening will feature near-perfect weather. There is only a tiny chance of a shower in Huntsville on Saturday, but thanks to clouds hanging around through much of the day, temperatures will stay in the 70s in the afternoon. At kick-off, expect a temperature in the lower 70s with a light north wind. Temps will fall into the mid-60s by the fourth quarter.

Shorter at UNA: Saturday at 6:00 PM CDT
UNA’s homecoming will feature a small, small (10%) chance of some light rain prior to the game. Temperatures at kick-off will be in the lower 70s; by the fourth quarter, expect mid-60s with a light north wind.
