The Next 24 Hours – Friday
It’s finally Friday, and based on the recent past, it’s also time for a marginal chance of rain! A cool front moving into the Tennessee Valley Friday will bring a small chance of some scattered showers. The chance of rain is only 10% area-wide, so we do not expect much rain whatsoever! In fact, underneath the few showers that develop, rainfall amounts will likely come up short of 0.10 inches.
So, instead of focusing on the small risk of rain, let’s talk temperatures. It will be a cool start to the morning with a few spots in the upper 50s; most of us will be in the 58-62 range by sunrise. Humidity will creep up a little, but it will still be a relatively dry day with a partly sunny sky and breeze from the east-northeast at about 10-15 MPH in the middle of the day. High temperatures will range from around 84 to 86 in Huntsville and The Shoals to around 81-83 near Sand and Lookout Mountains in Northeast Alabama.
