The Next 24 Hours – Thursday
The clouds that made for an under-achieving day temperature-wise on Wednesday will thin some for Thursday. That means a small warm-up with highs in the mid-80s and a little more sunshine. There is essentially no risk of rain whatsoever on Thursday thanks to the fact that we still have plenty of dry air in place, and there are no storm systems close enough to change that at least for now!
Those clouds left us with a beautiful September sky late Wednesday evening! Check out some of the sunsets from around the Tennessee Valley. I think it’s time we start doing a photo contest: Spectacular September Sunsets!
By Friday and Saturday, the air gets a little more humid and there is at least a slight chance (10%) of getting some showers near a weak cool front. There’s a lot more on the extended forecast through the weekend (including specific information about when rain is most likely) on the main forecast page at WHNT.com Weather!
