The Next 24 Hours – Hot Friday
Friday could end up being one of Summer’s last really hot days. Afternoon high temperatures will soar into the lower and middle 90s between 2 and 5 PM; add in that thick humidity, and it’s going to feel more like 98 to 102º through the mid-afternoon! There is only a small chance of a few isolated showers or storms on Friday; the chance of rain stands at about 10 percent.
The day may start out a little foggy, warm and muggy, but that heat and humidity you feel all day long will actually help us by Saturday morning. Some folks have had a large amount of rain over the past few days, but others are still in need. Your next good chance comes on Saturday thanks to a strong cold front! There’s a lot more on that over on WHNT.com Weather!
HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Expect temperatures in the 80s with a small risk of a shower. Just plain warm and muggy! Click here for the specifics on the forecast for some of the biggest games around the Tennessee Valley!
