More Showers & Storms Possible
It is a dreary Labor Day so far across the Tennessee Valley, thanks to a cloudy sky and some spotty showers moving east-southeast, south of the Tennessee River. Most the showers are currently east of I-65. Keep your rain gear handy, as more showers and storms are possible later today thanks to the remnant circulation of Isaac still to our north. We are not expecting widespread severe weather like yesterday, though we cannot rule out a stronger storm or two, for the most part heavy rain will be the main concern. Below is a look at the satellite and radar as of 8:45 am and temperatures.
High temperatures today will be dependent on the cloud cover and rain, with most warming into the mid 80s at best. Isolated showers will be possible tonight, with temperatures cooling into the low 70s. More rain is possible Tuesday, but there will likely be less coverage as the remnant low of Isaac continues to move slowly east. Wednesday through Friday only isolated rain chances exist, with temperatures heating up and warming into the low 90s.
This weekend, a strong cold front is forecast to approach and move through the Tennessee Valley, increasing the chance for showers and storms and also giving us another taste of Fall with cooler temperatures!
