Tornado Watch Continues for Some; Cleared for Others

The National Weather Service offices in Huntsville and Nashville have cleared numerous counties from the Tornado Watch that is in effect until 10 PM:

In Alabama, Huntsville has cleared the following counties:

Jackson, Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison [AL]

In Tennessee, Nashville has cleared the following counties:

Franklin, Lincoln, Moore, Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Cumberland, De Kalb, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Lawrence, Marshall, Maury, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Rutherford, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White [TN]

A Tornado Watch continues until 10 PM (or until it is cleared) for the rest of North Alabama.

We are watching very heavy, strong storms over North Mississippi as they move southeast toward Colbert, Franklin and Marion Counties in North Alabama. Some of these could be severe through 10 PM, but the risk is lower now than it was earlier. We are still here watching to make sure you are covered, and if another warning is issued we’ll be back on television to let you know about it!
