The Next 24 Hours – Saturday

Posted on: 10:05 pm, August 17, 2012, by

The weekend is finally upon us, and once we shake the late-night/early-morning showers, the weather will shape up nicely for Saturday! A passing cool front will bring the humidity down a few notches for Saturday afternoon with a mostly sunny sky; we will hang on to a tiny chance of a shower between 10 AM and 6 PM near and south of US 278 through North-Central Alabama:

Temperatures will start out in the upper 60s, and as the sun gradually becomes more and more visible throughout the day, afternoon highs will top out in the neighborhood of 82 to 88 degrees across the Tennessee Valley around 2 to 4 PM.

The cool front will stall south of Cullman and Gadsden on Saturday evening, so don’t expect the full blast of cooler weather to make it very Fall-like as it did last weekend! The coolest we will get Saturday night will be the mid-60s; some more rain is possible by Sunday…there’s more on that in our extended forecast at WHNT.com Weather!
