More Storms Possible Monday & Tuesday
The cold-front that gave the Tennessee Valley such gorgeous conditions over the weekend has now pushed well south of the area, and we are now awaiting yet another cold-front now moving out of the Plains.
This next storm system will draw moisture back into the area and increase our chances for thunderstorms. A few thunderstorms may pop as early as tomorrow morning in areas west of I-65, but the best chances appear to be from late Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning. There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms, particularly in far western areas, including high winds and hail in far western areas.
The front will actually slow down or may even stall across the Valley sometime Monday night, this will increase the uncertainty in this forecast as rain chances hinge on how quickly this boundary moves through. For now, rain is in the forecast for most of the day on Tuesday before tapering off Tuesday evening.
A brief lull in shower and thunderstorm activity will follow on Wednesday, but yet another front will move into the area by Friday with more showers and thunderstorms possible. You can check out the full forecast WHNT’s forecast page.
