Noon Weather Update
Clouds and spotty showers continue over much of the Tennessee Valley, thanks to a small upper disturbance that continues to lift north into Tennessee. Clouds and rain have limited heating for many, especially around the Shoals, where temperatures are most in the low 80s. Farther east in northeastern Alabama, especially along and southeast of I-59 where there has been more sun and no rain, temperatures are currently in the mid to upper 80s. Below is an image of our interactive radar tool that is available on our website here: http://whnt.com/weather/maps-and-radar/interactive-radar/
As we progress throughout Sunday afternoon, there is the chance for more spotty showers and possibly a thunderstorm. As the disturbance continues to move into middle Tennessee, some clearing is possible, with more sunshine possible by mid to late afternoon. Due to the slow warm up today for most because of the increased clouds, high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s for most, with a few isolated locations farther east where there is more sun may reach into the low 90s.
