Waiting On the Rain….

We had a few showers pop up this morning. US 72 in Athens was wet about 5am. Those showers pressed north into Ardmore. Another shower affected Cullman and sections of Morgan County. Things are quiet as of 8am. This image was taken at 5:15am.

A stalled out front in the area will keep things unsettled this afternoon.

Rain totals could exceed two inches especially over northwest Alabama over the next couple of days. Expect lesser amounts over Lookout Mountain and Sand Mountain.

No big surprises with our temperature trend. With rain in the forecast, readings won’t be as hot.
