Hottest Stretch of 2012 Ahead
It’s a beautiful start to your Monday morning. Here’s how it looked from our Saturn V Rocket Cam from the U.S. Space & Rocket Center at 7:32am.
High pressure takes over our forecast this week. Temperatures will stay above our seasonal average of 89. Lower 90s start today with middle 90s later this week. Upper 90s aren’t out of the question especially by the weekend. We had a stretch of 90s ending May. This one will be longer than that! The map below illustrates our temperature forecast valid Friday morning. Red, maroon, and pink represent hot air.
Rain chances are slim with high pressure overhead. Unfortunately, our rain deficit will only get larger. Northwest Alabama is especially dry. Here are your updated rainfall totals for the Huntsville International Airport and Northwest Alabama Regional Airport.
Summer officially begins later this week.
